Henry and Linda were high school sweethearts and got married while Henry attended Clarion University. Upon graduation, they joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ and were with the Athletes in Action wrestling team and Pro ministry for seven years. After leaving Campus Crusade staff, they settled in their hometown of DuBois, Pennsylvania where they have run several businesses over the years. Today they own and operate The Inn at Narrows Creek Bed and Breakfast. They have three sons who continue to be involved in Won By One To Jamaica: Josh and Erin and children, Lane, Ty, and Aisha; Isaac and Martha and son Lukas; and Solomon and Marcie and children Madeleine and Simeon.

After 20 years of youth ministry, Loyd and Candy joined the Won By One To Jamaica staff in October 2003. After doing what Loyd’s describes as “drive by missions” domestically for years as a youth pastor, he fell in love with philosophy of Won By one To Jamaica of concentrating on one community. Serving students and youth pastors in the summer allows him to stay connected with youth ministry. They have two daughters who continue to be involved in the ministry: Courtney and K.R. and son Kole; and Amanda.

Josh and Erin officially joined the staff of Won By One To Jamaica in 2003 after 15 years of leading teams to Jamaica and around the world.  Before coming on staff they lived in Berlin, Germany; Gdansk, Poland; and London, England where they served with Operation Mobilization.  They also lived in Kansas City while working with YouthFront.  The Shaffers have had the privilege of travelling to and ministering in over 35 countries around the world.  Josh & Erin have two sons, Lane & Tyreak and daughter, Aisha.

Clinton has been married to his wife, Joan, a school teacher, for 32 years and has two daughters, Khalia and Sheree, and a son, Sherlon. Clinton retired from the bauxite mining company, where he worked his way up to the management position of Director of Training Development and Safety of a plant with 2,500 employees.  He has also served as a pastor in the United Church of Jamaica for 20 years.  In addition, he is a Justice of the Peace.  He has degrees in mechanical engineering, management, and theology. Not only is he very intelligent, he also has a way of communicating complicated issues in everyday language.

Finley and Ruby have been serving in Jamaica in some form or fashion since 2001.  The Johnsons live in Harmons year round at the Harmony House.  They focus on leading small groups and discipling individuals as they live life with the local people. Ruby helps administer the School Sponsorship program and Finley provides health care through the Harmony House Clinic. They have four children and seven grandchildren.

Wendy grew to love Jamaica and the beautiful people that call this island home when she served during college in the summer of 1992. After serving in different areas of the island since that time, she is thankful to be back in the parish of Manchester, where she first worked. Wendy and her husband, Steve, have led dozens of mission trips to Jamaica and the inner-city of America. Their children, Josiah and Haven, are developing a love of ministry as well. With her experience of setting up mission trips and her love of Jamaica and its people, Wendy works with the group leaders to coordinate the preparation of groups for their trips.
